4th of July Red, White and Blue Blog Hop!!

June 21, 2013

If you’ve just arrived from Danita you’re in the right place! To start from the beginning of the hop, please visit Carter’s Crafting Corner.

The hop begins on Friday, June 21st at 9:00 am. You’ll have until Sunday, June 23rd at 6:00 pm (Central Time) to hop, follow each blog and leave some nice comments for a chance to win awesome prizes. Please note: individual participants may have additional entry rules and/or chances to win.

To qualify to win, you must:

  • Become a follower of all the blogs in the hop
  • Leave a comment on each blog in the hop

I will also be giving away a Martha Stewart Shadow Typeface acrylic stamp set.  To be entered for that prize you must be a follower of this blog and leave a comment below.  For an extra chance to win please follow me on twitter, pinterest and youtube.  Leave a comment saying where you followed me and you’ll get one additional entry for each.

Each blog will announce their respective winners on Thursday June 27th. Winners will have one week to claim their prize(s).

We’re so glad you decided to hop with us! You’re going to meet some amazing ladies. We hope you have a great time visiting, and are inspired by, all the wonderful Patriotic creations.

My first project is a 12×12 scrapbook layout that I absolutely love.  It was my first time using paints and a banner.  4th of July is a big deal for our family as my sister was born on the 3rd, my Dad is the 4th and cousin Danny is the 14th.  We had gone out to eat the year these photos were taken so no one had a mess to clean up.  It’s really hard to tell, but the red section is where my journalling is.

The star is two layers of chipboard that I painted with acrylic paint.  I rippled the ribbon underneath to hopefully give the effect of a waving flag.  The banner was made with my new Stampin’ Up pendant punch.

For the title I used Cricut Craft Room to weld the letters and then covered them with red stickles for a bit of a pop.  I wanted the colors to be more antique like, but it needed just that pop.

For your next stop please visit Sharondalyn

I am so glad you decided to hop with us!

Did you hand letter the "4th of July"? If so, I am very impressed with the lettering, mine never come out so nice.
