The Craft Room Challenge – Week One

January 3, 2018

Welcome to week one of the craft room challenge!  If you haven’t seen our intro videos you are in for a treat.  They are really cute if I do say so myself.

Each week our group of bloggers (12) will share our progress with you as well as share what the topic of the week is so you can work along with us.  Feel free to join us on social media using the hashtags #craftroomchallenge and #confessyourmess. Now on to my mess!

Normally, my craft room is very tidy, but with the holiday things got away from me.  I received some new furniture, made some Christmas gifts and then there was keeping us with December Daily…cleaning up just got away from me. I mean look at my desk!

There are also a ton of things in the space that aren’t mine…mostly kids things.  Obviously I’m not the one playing with the Pokemon things…or am I…haha  All kidding aside my desk becomes the catch all for anything the kids don’t know what to do with immediately, or are just in to much of a hurry to put away correctly.

There is also just to much furniture in the space for the size that it is. I need to find new way to store what I have and get some of the things either off the walls and/or up off the floor.  Anything that isn’t scrapbook or office related needs to leave this space as well.

My goal for this challenge is to have a more streamlined space.  I want to stop feeling like the walls are closing in due to stuff everywhere.  I find I creating easier when not overwhelmed with things. I also need to let go of things that I have decided aren’t my craft.  For example,  I’m a very simple stamper, and not a colorer, so things that don’t match that need to be re-homed either via donation or sale.

Our goal for week one is cleaning off our work surface.  Go on and find that missing desk or table.  Make the flat space clean enough that you could create something if needed.  I can’t wait to get myself in order and see how you use this challenge to get your space in order.  Don’t forget to come back next week to see how I did and see what the next challenge is!

Spot on with this write-up, I really feel this site needs a great deal more attention. I’ll probably be returning to read through more, thanks for the information!|
