Craft Room Challenge – Reveal

February 2, 2018

Hello Crafty Friends!  I’m so glad you are joining us for the big reveal from the craft room challenge.  This is where we see all our hard work paying off. If you want to see where I started head over to week one’s post or here’s just a single picture to remind you.

The biggest difference in my space is my desk, and my new drawers from Ikea.  Replacing the old cabinets from Michael’s has made such a difference in my organization.  The old cubes just didn’t have enough space to place and see anything effectively.  As you saw in my organization post I can now readily see what I have.  It makes such a difference.

Another change I made is that I removed the VERY large white cabinet from the wall.  You can see the bottom of it in the picture above.  It was just so bulky for the wall and since it was almost empty it was wasted space.  I replaced it with a wrought iron rack from Hobby Lobby that now holds my kits.  If you’d like to see how I’m storing my kits in the rack please let me know.  I’d LOVE to share.

Now on to the big reveal picture….

A clean craft space after the hard work of the craft room challenge

It looks so much bigger without stuff all on the floor and with less on the walls.  I’m also not sure that the cabinets on the left, where my printer is, are staying. The printer would fit on the Ikea drawers so that corner may be empty at some point, but I didn’t want to get rid of them just yet. I may use them to store the items in my shop and replace the bins I currently have, but we’ll see how that works when the products all come in.

Thank you so much for joining us each week this month, and we hope that you have gotten lots of ideas and inspiration to get your craft room in order.  If there’s anything more you’d like to see close up please let me know.  Until next time….

I have to say it again: I am so in LOVE with those IKEA drawers. Really have to find a way to integrate them into my home!!! Also, I’d love to see how you store all your kits in that little hanging basket thingie.

You will love them if you do find a way to incorporate the drawers. I’ll do a post/video soon on the hanging basket…thanks for asking!

Wow, I am amazed at the huge difference. You worked hard and everything looks so clean and tidy! I know it must be so nice to be able to see and find everything without digging through craft stuff. Great job!
