Hey crafty friends! I’m back today sharing another layout that I created for the Southern Girls Challenge. I am on Team Lou, and made a boo boo and created a layout for Team Trace…oopppsss. There are worse mistakes though right…at least it’s another memory documented. The challenge this go round is to create a project using punches. I created this family scrapbook layout using punches I had been neglecting for some time.
When I saw a sketch over at the Hip Kit Club I knew it was perfect for this challenge. I could use my circle punches to create the pattern, and then when I got punching my design took a total left turn. You can still see the sketch in my layout, but it wasn’t what I planned at the beginning.
Another thing that makes this layout different for me is I used yellow cardstock as my base. I don’t normally use anything beyond white, black and occasionally navy, but when I started laying my circles down it just needed something more. I tried many of the colors in the patterned pages I used, but the yellow made the circles pop the most.
So without further ado….here the layout is: Family Scrapbook Layout Using Punches
I hope you enjoyed this layout, and if you enter the challenge make sure to leave me a comment below so that I can be sure to come check it out!

Hehe, that’s awesome! We just put that down to you being keen hun! No booboo, just joining in with Team Trace this week too! LOL. LOVE what you did for the challenge and your fab layout. Anne used that too. Awesome job and gorgeous interpretation. Love it! Hugs, Wends xoxo
Thanks Wendy! I assumed it wouldn’t be an issue – more inspiration is always good 🙂 I’ll be sure to check Anne’s creation out too as using the same sketch doesn’t mean the same result.
