Hey crafty friends! Welcome to another reveal for the Southern Girls Challenge with the theme of sparkle and shine. For this reveal I pulled out my wedding photos (we’re married 13 years this year) and created a first dance wedding layout. I’m really hoping to get my album complete this year.
As I looked ay my photos I didn’t have one single one that was great enough to use just one, but I couldn’t put them all on the page as they were so I decided on a grid layout and cut the photos down to about 4×4. This left me one space for journalling as well so I could document our song and how we felt during the dance.
I kept the papers and embellishments rather simple since I had so many photos on the page. To work with the glitter theme I added some gold glitter washi along the bottom of my journalling section as well as a gold star in the cluster of my black and white photo.
I also really struggled with the title of this layout. It wasn’t what to call it, or even where to put it, it was what font to use. I tried every color I had and nothing was quite right. My black fonts didn’t stand out enough, colored letters looked odd and while white stood out it was to plain. I added some stickles to the white letters and it’s better. I’m honestly not sure if it’s perfect, but it’s done! Remember documented is better than perfect.
I hope you enjoyed my layout and that you’ll join us for the challenge this go round. Remember to leave me a link if you do join so I can be sure to see your creation! Until next time…stay crafty.
