Hey Scrap Friends! Can you believe I have two posts so far this month!? That certainly is a record right now. This fall sibling scrapbook layout is my share for the anything goes challenge over at the Southern Girls Challenge blog, and using the weekly sketch from the Hip Kit Club facebook group.
For this challenge I used a photo of my niece and nephew during her two year photo shoot. While it was her birthday shoot the photo wasn’t particularly birthday themed, and it hard her brother, so I didn’t think birthday paper was appropriate. My nephew was in the photo so I didn’t want to use girl themed paper. It wasn’t Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. so are you seeing my dilemma?
I ended up going with fall paper for three reasons. The first is that they are sitting in front of a brick wall and on a brick walkway. The red of the brick would match the red in most fall paper collections. My niece is also born at the end of September so it technically was fall. Last, but not least fall paper tends to be gender neutral so it fit that both kiddos were in the picture.
So what do you think? Did I make the layout work for both my niece and my nephew? I sure hope my Sister-In-Law thinks so! Until next time….stay crafty!
