Hey crafty friends! I’m back with my recap of my June monthly goals and what I plan to try to accomplish in July. June took an unexpected turn, and I’m back in my original space so some goals no longer needed to be done and some didn’t get accomplished because of the “move”
So here’s my list of June 2020 scrapbook monthly goals to make my creating in what was my new space easier:
- I would like to aim again for four layouts this month even with this re-organization project going on. This unfortunately did not get accomplished due to my reorganizing and moving back to my original scrap space. It’s ok though…I’m so happy to be back where I can create videos and just be more comfortable.
- I will be organizing all my 12×12 paper in a 31 your way cube using Darice self storing bags. I will never take a collection from it’s original bag again. Even though they were tight in their storage area, and I used binder clips – everything was always falling all over. This is was sort of accomplished. I managed to get everything out of three fold and files and into one 31 your way cube. I was not however able to get all the collections that were in my project planners in the cube. There just wasn’t enough space, which means I need to focus on using somethings up.
- If a collection has matching embellishments I will be taking though out of the package and attaching them to a single sheet of cardstock using a repositionable mounting square. That single sheet will go in the Darice package. My goal is to be able to see my die cuts when I’m creating without having them in a bowl on the table since my table size has been reduced. I also want to be able to discard all that packing. I’ll show you the trash can when I’ve completed it to see how much waste there was. This was accomplished with one exception. I did not do this for my Bella Blvd collections as I had the die cuts and word die cuts totally over 200 pieces. I found it a waste of cardstock and adhesive to mount that many for one collection. As I start to use them I’ll do a cardstock for them when it’s a reasonable amount. I took a photo of the trash can, but you can’t really tell how much is in there. I’d say it was 3/4 full!
- Re-organize my cart so I can get to everything nicely. I know this sounds easy, but I’m not sure it will be as I’m still trying to adapt my whole room storage to the cart. This did not get accomplished since I moved back into my original space. I will tell you though that using that cart for three months has really taught me what I use, and reach for, and what can be purged. When I brought things back downstairs I did a good amount of purging from this space.
Now onto July’s monthly goals! It took me awhile to decide what I wanted to do this month. I’ve had lots of cups to work on, and trips to the pool with the kids so I knew it had to be manageable. What I decided was to go back to my original idea and kill a kit. With not being able to fit everything in my 31 cube I need to get some of the overflow used up for the space to really look clean. My goal for this month is the kill my Felicity Jane Kate kit from I believe July 2017. If you’d like to see the Kate kit here is the video unboxing I did many moons ago.
So do you think I can do it? How would you tackle the Kate kit? Share your thoughts with me, and tips or tricks you have for using things up or your goals for the month. Until next time…stay crafty!
