Little FourWheeler Layout
I’m was on a role this month with finding challenges that help me get these 8×10 photos done. When I saw the sketch from Scrap Much? by Laura Whitaker I knew it would be the perfect 2nd page to my previous 9 month boy layout.
I stayed pretty true to the sketch except I rotated it and turned the three photo spots into one large one. The scallop and bracket borders were done using my Kiwi Lane templates. To tie the pages in together I used the same paper lines and the same embellishments…voila…a whole new page in under a half hour. I’m really loving sketches lately rather than photo or color challenges because they allow me to get the photos I need to done without to much stretching to make my ideas fit. Also, who can complain about getting a page done in a half hour!?
Until next time…keep scrapping!
Child’s Play Challenge – Weebles
Time for another fun reveal from the Child’s Play Challenge team. We were challenged to use the toy…Webbles. The slogan of the toy is Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down. While our son had some Weebles I didn’t have any pictures of him playing with them. I decided instead to go with the fall down part of the rhyme. I used pictures of when hurricane Sandy struck, and our son had to come to work with me since daycare and home were without power.
To go with the falling down/tipsy feeling of Weebles I used a mid July sketch from ScrapMuch? I thought the skewed accent paper worked perfectly. All the papers and elements are from the Bella Blvd Max collection, and I even added some outlining in my stars (my attempt at doodling). The amazing tab pulls a photo out of the street signs knocked over.
I hope you enjoyed my reveal, and that you will come over and join us. Until next time…Keep Scrapping!
