Welcome back to another Scrapping Our Stash blog hope. I’m so excited to be participating two months in a row, and honestly my paper just made the qualification since the new releases started coming out last week.
Yup…Back again with another Lasting Memories layout reveal. This time we were asked to create a layout about someone or something that is beautiful to us. Since hubby was last time I had to do a layout of our son this time 🙂
I used a freebie sketch from Scrapbook Generations for this layout since I haven’t done a double pager in forever. I also did something I don’t normally do on this layout…mixed manufacturers. The paper is from Carta Bella’s line Boy Oh Boy, the journalling card is from Fancy Pants Be Different, and the two text embellishments are from JilliBean Soup Could as Cucumber Soup.
The story behind the layout shows exactly our sons personality…see all the smiles in the photos…he had a double ear infection and a 104 degree fever. Even now, at four, he tries so hard to be smiley all the time no matter what is going on..well unless he’s over tired. I really hope this continues as he grows up as a positive outlook will help him in life.
Until next time…Keep Scrapping!
Welcome to my second reveal for Lasting Memories. This go-round we were challenged to create a layout about a Life Lesson.
I pulled out my Carta Bella Boy Oh Boy goodies and the sketch from ScrapMuch? to get started. I stuck really close to the sketch except for changing to use three photos instead of two. I didn’t have the correct red paper to mat my photos, but I had the perfect red washi tape. I cut mats the size I needed and covered the edges with the tape…worked perfectly! The life lesson that I choose to highlight was our son learning some “Guy Stuff.” My hubby had his tools out to do something around the house right around when our son turned one. M went right over to the tools and started digging in the box and turning the handles…no one had to tell him it way guy stuff!
Sorry I’ve been so quiet lately, but we’ve been going through a kitchen re-do and the house looks like a bomb went off! Leave me a comment if you want to see the new kitchen, and until next time…Keep Scrappin!
