I was working on a bunch of spring themed cards for an exchange, and really liked the result of this friendship one.
I used my favorite color in the certainly celery Stampin’ Up paper so I could enter the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge. The card base is Doodlebug, the flower is K & Company and the sentiment from Close To My Heart.
I like how these shaped cards fold out into three pieces that all contain a writing area. I always enjoyed pen pals as a young person and still enjoy receiving a letter so these appealed to me right away.
I’d also like to enter this card into the Craftin Desert Divas and Sister Act Card Challenge anything goes challenges.
Thanks for joining me, and I’d love to see what you’ve been creating lately.
ScrapStuffz Inspired By February Reveal
Happy Valentine’s Day!! Welcome to my February reveal as SSIB. Let me say right off the bat how happy I am with how this layout came out. It’s the first layout in awhile that hasn’t felt like work to get it to where I wanted it to be.
I started with the amazing colors and designs in the SSIB photo. They matched perfectly with the flower from my 2005 wedding. I then saw Sketch #50 over at Sketch ~ N ~ Scrap and fell in love with that too.
As if that was not enough inspiration I also saw that Cards Galore had an add bling challenge, and I knew I was going to enter that one too. I used my wink of stella pens on the flowers, my thickets are white glitter, and there in bling in the upper right corner. It’s the first time in awhile that I’m combining challenges, and I think it came out lovely!

Flower Birthday Card
Here’s the card I made for my sister for her 20th birthday…not a teen anymore ๐ If you haven’t guessed it yet my favorite stamps is the triple treat flower! I know the ink is Baja Blue, but I don’t remember if the green is Old Olive or Certainly Celery.
Then ran the background through the Cuttlebug (my first time using one) with the swiss dot folder. It added the interest I wanted without overwhelming the flowers. I purposely didn’t attach the flowers the same way, again for just a tad of interest. I like things to have various elements of interest, but make it so you have to kind of look at it again to know what they are. The background is my favorite open stock paper from Hobby Lobby.
Do you have a favorite stamp set?
