Double Page Wedding Scrapbook Layout

January 31, 2019

Hey friends!  I’m here today sharing with you a layout I did for the Craft Maven Getaway channel using an 2018 kit from Close to My Heart.  The layout items were generic enough you could have used it for anything, but as I’m trying to finish my wedding album this year I used it to create a double page wedding scrapbook layout.

I don’t do many double pages, but the light green was the color of our bridesmaid’s dresses, and we had loads of flower so this kit fit perfectly.  The left page has a photo of me and two of my husband and I.  We got married right when less formal wedding photography started becoming a trend so some of our photos are fun and some are posed.

Come find out how to use a kit to quickly make a double page wedding scrapbook layout. It can't get any faster than this!

On the right hand side of the page there was space for two 4×6 photos and a large amount of journalling.  I chose to use the paper for the right hand side under my photos since they were smaller than 4×6 to help fill the area.  They are photos of me and our groomsmen (my brother and friend Blaine) and one of me that the photographer took in a mirror so you can see how very long my hair was.

Come find out how to use a kit to quickly make a double page wedding scrapbook layout. It can't get any faster than this!

I added my journalling after the photos were taken because I wasn’t so sure what I wanted to say right away.  Thank you for checking my layout out and here is the video if you’re so inclined:

That Was Awesome

December 23, 2015

I know it’s not Sunday, but I finally got to sit down and work on the Scraplift Sunday piece from the Paper Issues Facebook group.
My take follows the form of the layout fairly closely.  My main paper choices were the Carta Bella line Boy Oh Boy.  Several of my embellishments also came from that line, but I also have a few in there from Basic Grey, Close To My Heart, A Flair For Buttons and the title from Heidi Swapp.
Hope you like my take!

Making Memories Layout

December 7, 2015

Just a quick post today sharing a layout I did using the sketch over at My Creative Sketches.   Head over to the site to see the sketch and you’ll see how I changed it up a bit to fit my style of scrapping.  The papers are from and old Close To My Heart collection.  It was meant for fall, but I liked how the colors matched the grass and shirt M was wearing.  Thanks for checking it out!

#Bier Layout

August 7, 2015

I’m back today with more pictures from our Munich honeymoon using a sketch from ScrapMuch!? These photos are from a Beer Garden we stumbled upon not far from our hotel that was so good we ended up there most nights.  I couldn’t get over the size of the beers they served.  My favorite drink ended up being Radler…a mix of light beer and lemonade.  It sounds gross, but was so refreshing at it was beyond hot the week we were there.
The beer paper has been in my stash since we got back from the trip…ten years ago.  The brown accents are from Close To My Heart and I received them during my  stay on the Paper Crafter Anonymous design team.  The title was cut from my Silhouette with a free font I had on my computer. And before you ask…yes that is a coaster from the restaurant.
Short and sweet today.  Until next time…Keep Scrapping!

Dots and Spots Birthday Card

May 22, 2015

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another reveal for Southern Girls Challenge. This time we were asked to create something with dots or spots.  Here is the card I created…

This is actually one of eight cards I created. I gave a one sheet wonder template a try and was completely stoked with my results.  The paper is a from a Hampton Arts collection called Playlist…the exact paper is called Volume. I used this paper not only for the dots/spots, but because with all the different colors the cards can now be used for a male or female recipient.
The stamp is from a old CTMH collection stamped with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black.  The punch is a standard scalloped circle, but I believe mine is from Stampin Up.
I hope you come join our dots and spots challenge, and I’d love to hear if you ever used a one sheet wonder template and what you thought of the results.  Until Next time…Keep Scrapping!
