It’s time for another reveal at Child’s Play Challenge and this time we needed to use sequins. For me…that was no challenge at all! Even though I have a boy I love using boy color sequins. I even have wood grain sequins; which I think are my favorite.
For this layout I pulled out an old Doodlebug Designs Halloween collection and the one photo we have of M on his first Halloween. We don’t celebrate, but they were having a party at school so I bought him a great pumpkin shirt.
I usually struggle with strips for some reason, but I love how these came out and how they offset how dark his shirt is.
I hope my layout inspires you to come over and play with us. I’d love to see what you create with sequins. Until next time…Keep Scrapping!
Get Inky Button Halloween Card
I know what you’re thinking… Halloween isn’t for another 8 months! As I peruse the internet though, I look at various posts and always think to myself, “What good does a Halloween card example do me on Halloween!!” As I approached this Get Inky button challenge I wanted to give you something you could use to plan ahead.
I used the Get Inky 2013 Halloween set to create my card. Going into the creation process the only thing I was certain of is I wanted to the ribbon to look like a messy horizontal spider web, and use the spider stamp like he had just finished spinning it.
The button, while it matches in color because black was to much of a contrast there, it the “prey” that got caught in the web. After all this thought I was exhausted…haha.
I hope you will come and join us for the button challenge. We also look forward to seeing what you create too!
