Mother and Son Scrapbook Layout

September 27, 2020

Hey crafty friends!  I’m back today sharing a mother and son scrapbook layout for the Paper Issues sketch challenge as well as the thankful challenge from Challenge YOUrself.  I had entered my Mother Daughter layout in the thankful challenge earlier this month so how could I not include photos of my boy and I as well!?

I’m not usually one to gravitate to a sketch that includes triangles as the main element, but with how large these were I knew I could use a 6×6 paper pad easily to get the look they were going for.  I also liked that the sketch had two photos since I had two photos of just M and I during vacation.  Is there a shape you usually shy away from in your crafting?

To get the triangles I cut my 6×6 paper into 5 inch squares and then cut them in half to get my triangles. The striped paper I cut in half again for the triangles in the corner.  It came together really fast when it came to the paper portion.  The embellishments is always where a layout takes me the longest.

I printed my journaling on a scrap of cream cardstock, and cut it into strips.  to do this I start by printing the journaling first on computer paper. After that’s done printing I then cut a square of cardstock larger than needed, and washi it to my paper.  I then run it through the printer again and it comes out perfectly placed on my cardstock.

Since my paper choices were rather busy, and my journaling took up so much space I kept the embellishments very close to the photo so that they didn’t overwhelm everything else.  A simple title in the triangle at the top and my layout was done.

Thanks so much for joining me today as I show off my creation.  I appreciate each and everyone one of you who read my ramblings as often, or not, that I’m here.  Until next time…stay crafty!

Dream Little Girl Scrapbook Layout

July 17, 2020

Hey crafty friends!  I’m so happy to be back sharing a new creation with you.  I made this Dream Little Girl scrapbook layout for the July challenge over at Scrap The Girls.  The have a fun mood board as inspiration this month.

Scrap the girls July 2020

I muted the colors from the board a bit when creating my layout, but kept the fun feeling from the girl having candy.  I used photos from our little girls third birthday shoot  in which she was being sweet rather than sassy to play into the candy theme.  She’s also wearing pink and aqua which are in the mood board.

Dream Little Girl

Since I was at the end of the Simple Stories Enchanted collection so I didn’t have much left.  It was one piece of 12×12 and the cut apart cards.  I went with a grid layout because it allowed me to use the cut apart for matting and squares other than my photo.  I embellished each square with matching piece from the die cut packet.

Some of the die cuts were silver foil and they gave the grid just a little extra something.  I used the word dream as my biggest little, but each block really could have been a title in and of itself.  And let’s not even talk about how cute our little girl is in these.  It’s so hard for me to believe she’s 4 already!

Well, I think that’s it for now.  Tell me what you’ve been creating and be sure to head over to Scrap the Girls and see all the inspiration they have provided for the mood board.  Until next time…stay crafty!

Hello Love Scrapbook Layout

April 19, 2020

Hey crafty friends!  Can you believe I’m back so soon with another layout.  The goals list is really working for me this month.  It also helps that we don’t have sports every night to…lol.  To finish using up my Authentique Loyal collection I made this Hello Love scrapbook layout.

I also crated this layout as part of the challenge over at Lasting Memories.  They are having a word play challenge where you take the word and use a supply starting with that letter.  I used the word spring and this is how I broke it down:

S- Scraps of paper

P – Pattern paper background

I – Ink – it’s hard to see in the photos, but the edge of the entire layout is inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans.

N – Nuvo drops (the black enamel dots)

G – Glue for the flair and the doily

I also managed to get a flair badge on this layout.  My goals was to use three and so far I’ve only used one.  I need to get working on that though since the month is more than half over.  Any suggestions on how to get those pesky things used up let me know!

Well, off I go to try and create more while my kiddos are playing outside with their Dad.  Until next time…stay crafty!

Pretty Princess Scrapbook Layout

June 26, 2019

Hi guys!  Welcome back to a layout post here at The Paper Addict.  I’ve been scrapping a bit if you’ve been watching you my youtube channel, but I’m glad to be back blogging again too.  This pretty princess scrapbook layout was created for the newest challenge over at Southern Girls.

For this round my team used stripes on their projects.  I have used stripes in two different ones on this layout.  Can you find them both? One is fairly obvious and the other, in person, is much more subtle.

If you watched my first Crafty Maven Getaway Youtube Hop video this princess scrapbook layout is the accompanying page to that layout. The event was a pretty princess photo shoot our daughter was invited to for her friend Tessa’s birthday.

Thanks so much for sticking with me.  Until next time….Stay Crafty!

Smile Baby Girl Scrapbook Layout

March 5, 2018

Hey crafty friends!  Thank you for joining me today for another baby girl scrapbook layout. I created this layout for the Bling On The Crafts blog hop.  The links for all the other crafts will be below, but you can expect all types of sparkle from each one!

For my project I used a photo from our baby girls 3 month photo shoot and the Pebbles Spring Fling Collection.  I’ve had this collection for probably two, almost three, years and it was perfect for this outdoor photo.

My bling for the hop came in the form of gold foil on both the pink and green banner pieces.  I also added stickles to the center of the turquoise flower in the top cluster, and the wings of the green butterfly.  The three pink hearts spread around the page are also shiny.

I also created a youtube process video for this layout if you’re interested in watching.

Thank you for joining me today, and be sure to check out all the other wonderful projects the other bloggers created for this!

On the first Monday of each month, a group of DIY and crafty bloggers join forces to bring you the #BlingontheCrafts blog hop. Each blogger creates a glittery, sparkly, shiny, shimmery, sequined, or “blingy” craft to share that goes with a monthly theme.

March’s theme is Spring. Each blogger chooses their own craft to make as long as it shines and is Spring themed.

If you’d like to participate next month, you can request to join our Bling on the Crafts Facebook group. Next month’s theme is Cinco de Mayo!
