Last Day of School Scrapbook Layout

June 29, 2020

Hey crafty friends!  I’ve finally got a chance to make a project this month, and I decided to do a Last Day Of Day School Scrapbook Layout.  I used the sketch that Laura for My Creative Scrapbook  for the month of June.

The sketch had three photos, which was perfect since I had one of each kiddo and then one of them together.  I was so excited to have these.  With all of the time at home lately they’ve been a bit frustrated with each other so to be hugging and smiling…amazing!

I actually created a video to go along with this layout that shares more about what I did with the sketch, and where I’ve been regarding process videos. I’d love for you to come over and watch it.

Well,  I think that’s it for me right now.  I’m going to go and try to get myself re-settled in my new old space (if you haven’t watch the video I explain there) to be able to get more accomplished. Until next time…stay crafty!

Snow Fun | Pebbles

January 7, 2018

Hey crafty friends!  I’m posting today with a kill a kit layout.  I wanted to use up an old My Creative Scrapbook kit, but there was so very little.  I went searching pinterest for the collection, and found inspiration from Mendi’s layout.
I had several of the same washi/paper strips so I used them like she did, but I improvised with the ones I didn’t and with my embellishments since I didn’t have any of the ones she used.  I love how it came out.

Out of this kit I was able to create four layouts, one mini album and two cards.  If I hadn’t searched for the collection I wouldn’t have gotten the last layout or the cards completed. I hope this inspires you to search when you are stuck and either scrap lift or make something your own.  Until next time…stay crafty!

Beach Scrapbook Layout

January 6, 2018

Hey crafty friends!  Now that my desk is cleaned off I’m very happy to be back sharing a new layout creation with you.

I created this layout as part of challenges at the Secret Not Secret Kit Club.  We were challenged to make a summer scrapbook layout during the cold of winter, and man is it cold.   It was 8 degrees when I woke up this morning so I’d say it count as cold.

I used a VERY old kit from My Creative Scrapbook, and it took me a minute to be okay using the pink on a picture of my boys.  I’m very glad I did though because I think it came out well.

All of the paper layers under my photo are project life cards.  They came with the kit, and since I don’t do pocket scrapbooking, I challenged myself to get them on a page somehow.   Clusters in the upper left were created with small portions of 3×4 cards as well.I just love how this came out, and really wish I had done a process video to go with it to show how I managed to get all the layers just right when I wanted them.  The next set of kit club challenges is in mid January, and I can’t wait to complete more.  Can you believe I finished four layouts in two days!?

Well, I better get back to creating.  Thanks for stopping in with me today and until next time…keep crafting!

Saturday Snuggles | Secret Not Secret Kit Club

December 16, 2017

Hey Crafty Friends!  It’s been awhile, but I’m back with a new project.  I actually took the pictures today, scrapped the photos today and am now blogging it all in the same day…who am I??
This layout was created for the December scrapping party at The Secret Not Secret Kit Club.  I can’t wait to get my first kit from them and share it with you.
The first challenge of the day was getting sketchy with Meggy and a sketch by Laura of Beads Buttons and Birds.  Of course I had to take the sketch and flip it on it’s side because why leave anything the way it’s shown right!
The photos are of my kiddos this morning.  We didn’t have anywhere to rush off to…it was snowy…perfect for just relaxing.  After breakfast they snuggled together to watch some cartoons and then J toddled over to snuggle with the puppy for a bit.
If you followed me for a bit you know I’m trying to kill my stash, and at very least my kits.  99% of this layout came from an old (circa 2015) My Creative Scrapbook kit that focused heavily on the Family Frenzy line from Bella Blvd.  The collection is so old that I couldn’t even find any on Amazon!
Most of my accents however came from the Simple Stories We Are Family collection.  The photo stickers came in white, black and color so those were fun to spread around the page along with their self adhesive brads.  I’m usually not great at mixing collections, but these came together easily.
I added some enamel dots, various labels from my stash and some Heidi Swapp color shine in Black Velvet before calling the layout done.
I think that’s it for now.  If you want to see more layouts I’ve done with this kit be sure to check out A Boy and His Dog and Kiss Kiss.  Thanks for joining me today, and until next time.  Stay Crafty!

We belong together | Stinkin Inkers | Doodlebug Designs

December 5, 2017

Hey crafty friends!  Today is another reveal at the Stinkin’ Inkers blog.  The challenge for the months is the holidays.
Now…let me explain how this wedding layout applies to Christmas.  My little sister got married the day after Christmas, and if you look closely you can see all the Christmas decorations still up in the church.  It made decorating very easy 🙂

All my papers came from an old My Creative Scrapbook kit.  If I remember correctly they are all Doodlebug Designs papers.  The squares are 2×2 cut aparts from a 12×12 sheets that I layers with some of the smaller patterned papers.  Sprinkle some elements here and there and you’re ready to go.
Do you have any non-traditional holiday memories?  I’d love to see your layouts about them.  Until next time…stay crafty!
