Scrap Our Stash June Blog Hop

June 26, 2015

Hi All and welcome to the June Scrap Our Stash Blog Hop.  You should have arrived from Suzanna’s blog…doesn’t she do great work!?
I choose to make a pocket letter for this months hop.  I had a swap to fulfill so it was perfect timing.  I used the 2012 Echo Park Collection Hello Summer for most of this letter.  Three of the card embellishments (the flip flops, ice cream and camera) are from the Paradise Beach collection released the same year.  I did cheat a bit and the & symbol and the popcorn sticker on the top left card are from my Freckled Fawn kit.
I used crystal lacquer on the ice cream card in the corner.  Each scoop had dots so I put the lacquer on each of the dots…it gave a cool look and nice dimension to that pocket. My partner has already received this and I’m so glad she loved it.
So now you’re off to Jennifer’s blog to see the amazing project she created.  Until next time…Keep Scrapping!

Southern Girls Goodbye

June 18, 2015

Time for my last reveal at Southern Girls Challenge Blog as they are changing their design team format.  Can you believe I’ve been with them for 16 months!  I’ve made lots of cool projects, and appreciate them giving this challenge newbie a chance.
The challenge this go round is to use white/cream – mint green and/or turquoise and coral and/or pink.  I used an old Studio Calico Kit for my paper and embellishments from Doodlebug and the Freckled Fawn April Kit called Oh Deer Me to create this pocket letter.  This is one of my favorite so far…right up there with the beach ones I did.
Today is also hubby and I’s ten year anniversary! So…if I can get 20 comments (ten for our marriage and ten more for ten more years) I will give away a prize.  We’re so happy today so I want to share that with you.  Until next time…Happy scrapping!

Pocket Letter Crazy

May 30, 2015

Have you caught the pocket letter craze?  I swore I wasn’t going too, but I have…they are so nice to put together when you’re stuck in your scrapping or card making.  I also loved having pen pals as a kid so this feels like the adult version.  I also can complete one in about an hour so if I get up early I can get one done before work.
This is only the second pocket letter I’ve made, and I really hope to work up to the quality of some of the amazing work I’ve seen.  This one I made using the old Studio Calico Camelot Kit.  I still have tons of these kits laying around and have found them great for my pocket letters because even if the stuff is/isn’t my taste it may be my partners.
So what do you think of my second try?  Want to become pocket pals…message me!
