Mommy and Me Scrapbook Layout

July 9, 2018

Hey crafty friends!  I’m so excited to be with you today as I’m sharing my first design team project for Scrap Our Stash. As their name implies they are all about getting those photos on a page using the stash you have!  Today I created a Mommy and Me scrapbook layout to go with the theme.

These are VERY old photos of our son and I  on the carousel at Sesame Place.  You can tell he loved it by his smiles, but it would be another three years before he wasn’t scared to go on again.  What the heck is up with that folks!

My papers are also from a super old collection from Echo Park.  It’s so old in face that I can’t find iron their website anymore.  The design is also a scraplift of my friend Stacia at the Dancing Daisy Designs.  She created die cuts for use on her page and really needs to start a blog again because she makes the best pages.

Now I’m sure you are wondering how I got my page from the challenge. I had never heard of, or seen, 500 Days of Summer before this challenge.  It wasn’t available on Netflix, or our local Redbox, so I went and read a synopsis online.  There wasn’t anything obvious jumping out at me for a layout so I went super simple and used the theme Summer.  I used a sun wood veneer as one of my embellishments to satisfy that part of the challenge.  Have you see the film?

Thank you for reading along and seeing how I completed this challenge, and I can’t wait to see how you do if you choose to participate.  Don’t forget to leave me a link if you do so I can be sure to comment.  Until next time….stay crafty!

Summer Fun Day | Scrap Our Stash

September 25, 2017

Hey Scrappy Friends!  I’m here today with another layout!  Can you believe it!?  This is the most I’ve gotten done in a month in a long time.
This layout was created with an old My Creative Scrapbook Kit (July 2015!), and a sketch from Scrap Our Stash.
One of the thing about the Scrap our Stash challenge is you also had to use the work learn.  You had to use one thing for each letter. Mine was L – layers of patterned paper E – enamel dots A – asterisk embellishment – R – raised (puffy) title N – no splatters and natural wood button.

I also used the spotted paper for the dotty challenge over at Southern Girls Challenge blog.

I also am calling this kit killed.  I have learned that when I have to phone a friend and say “Why don’t I like this layout, and how do I fix it!?” that I’m done.  Thank goodness all I had left was one full sheet of paper and some scraps.
    Until next time…stay crafty!

An Adorable Welcome Home Puppy One Page Layout

June 19, 2017

Hey Scrappy Friends!  I’m back with another process video today.  This time I was inspired by the sketch and word from May 15th at Scrap Our Stash.  Wish I had gotten this one recorded, and edited, in time to enter the challenge.
With the sketch you had to use the word mother, and use one item for each letter.  Mine are M – My Mind Eye Paper, O – Ornamental Shape Stickers, T – The Best Glue Ever for my enamel dots and woods pieces, H – Hearts and Home, E – Echo Park Paper, R – Red to match the new puppy.
To hear all about my thought process when creating this please head over to my youtube channel to check out the process video.  Thanks for checking my creations out!

Sleepy Time

January 24, 2017

When I saw the sketch over at Scrap Our Stash I knew exactly what photos I wanted to use. They also for the new year had a challenge of using products in the word goals..that one wasn’t so easy.
G – Girl Paper by Bella Blvd
O – Orchid color embellishments (I checked the color of orchids to be sure this complied.
A – Acrylic Paint (yellow)
L – Liquitex basics texture paste
S – Stickers and a stencil
The photos were printed at home with my Epson picturemate pm-400…best Christmas present ever! Watch for a process video coming up on my youtube channel soon.

Ornaments and Presents Layout

February 26, 2016

Hi everyone and welcome to the February Scrapping our Stash blog hop.  You should have arrived here from Katrina’s page.  Didn’t she make an awesome project!?

For my project I pulled out another of my old Scrapbook Generation kits.  I have been working hard on getting these used up to make room in my stash.  I only have about three layouts to print pictures for!
This particular project features products from Simple Stories and pictures of our son and my hubby from Christmas two years ago.  This was one year that his Christmas gift still gets played for regularly!
Next up you want to hop on over to see Allison’s wonderful creation.  Before you go though I’d love for you to leave a comment and follow me…all my links can be found on the right.  Have a great day!
