Our Family | Simple Stories | Scrapbook Generation

December 21, 2017

Hey crafty friends!  Today’s post is an old kit from Scrapbook Generation that I’m using to show how I used my ScraPerfect perfect crafting pouch to attach the dimensional elements to my scrapbook page.
The kit contained product from the Simple Stories Legacy collection (no longer made), and was perfect for the family photos we had taken late last year.  You’ll be seeing more pages from this collection later 🙂
The crafting pouch came in handy when it was time to attach the stickers that I wanted to be dimensional.  I touched them to the pouch to take the sticky off and then used my pop dots.  If you just use the pop dots when you place the pages in your album they will get wavy.  The pressure from other layouts will push the parts that don’t have pop dots on them down and they will stick to the page.

So tell me…how do you remove the sticky from your stickers that you want to make dimensional?

Explore| Felicity Jane | Stinkin Inkers | ScraPerfect

November 7, 2017

Hey everyone!  I’m here today with a double header.  It is my first project for my new team called Stinkin’ Inkers, and also uses products from my other team, ScraPerfect.
The challenge this month at Stinkin’ Inkers is to create a project surrounding being thankful.  This is a photo I took at the beach less than three months after our daughter was born.  I am thankful that I got to spend the last few days of my maternity leave making memories with my parents and kiddos (hubby couldn’t stay as long as we did).

You can see that several of my embellishments on this page are dimensional.  The flair, enamel dots and chipboard.  I attached all of these using my glue of choice…The Best Glue Ever.  If you haven’t seen my video about the strength of this glue please head over to my youtube channel.  It really is great.

The products on this layout are from the Felicity Jane Summer kit.  This is the last layout from that kit that I’ll be sharing.  I got eight from the kit in total.  Until next time…stay crafty!

You Need To Use The Best Glue Ever On Chipboard Embellishments

August 29, 2017

Hey friends…Lyne here with you today.  I wanted to share with you how I use my Best Glue Ever on chipboard pieces.  I created the below layout using up odds and ends pieces from a kit club I was part of in I believe 2015.
I’m not entirely sure I’m in love with the layout, but it documents a silly phase my kids are going though and that’s what really matters right!?
Anyway…where the Best Glue Ever saved me was the chipboard piece on the left (blue) and under the photo (green) by Bella Blvd.  This isn’t just any chipboard piece as it has quite a bit of bulk to it.
The sticky on it wasn’t  keeping the pieces down, and I find this is often the case with even thinner chipboard.  A thin line of The Best Glue Ever, and you can see my pieces are securely stuck to the page.
Get out that bottle…even for pieces that already have a sticky back!

Tips For Easy Sparkling Embellishment Creation

July 29, 2017

Hey Scrappy Friends!  I’m here today with my tip on using transfer foil to create easy and sparkling embellishments.
Prior to join the ScraPerfect team I have never worked with foils, but I saw they had so much potential to help me create tiny embellishments for my pages.  Using glue though I wasn’t having great success.  I know the other ladies use it to perfection, but I just couldn’t get it even enough for my liking.  Everything was bumpy, and that wasn’t what I was going for in this case.
I set them aside and got to thinking.  What could I do to make my adhesive application more even.  I thought about watering The Best Glue Ever down and using a brush, but that was more work than I wanted.  I wanted something quick and easy, and finally it came to me.  My Xyron machine!  I have two, but I used the smaller one to test my idea.
I cut a piece of cardstock to fit…ran it through the machine, and applied the foil.  Look at the perfect, and even, coat of foil on my paper.  I finally had the look I was going for!
I then took the tiny punches I keep on my desk for exactly this sort of thing and went to town.  I now have perfectly covered and smooth embellishments in my extras container using my scrap cardstock.
I now have two perfect ways to use my foil.  Glue for texture and Xyron for smooth.  Hope that gives you a new idea on how to use your foils.

How Embellie Gellie Saved My Father’s Day

July 7, 2017

Hey Scrappy Friends!  I wanted to share with you how the Embellie Gellie saved our Father’s Day.   I make my own enamel dots and received on order for over 1,000 the Saturday of Father’s Day.  I needed have them shipped Monday, and I didn’t have all the colors on hand.
I went ahead and made a ton of colors, but they still needed to be packed.
Normally I do this all by hand and it takes me forever.  With my Embellie Gellie though I was able to go in and pick up just the colors I was looking to pack.
I was able to pack my whole order while still spending time at the park with my family and having a cook out with my Father.
What could have taken hours and hours with Embellie Gellie took no time at all.  Thanks for saving my Father’s Day!
